Training Opportunity for MS/MD Residents in Ireland

The Institute of Learning Emergency Medicine (ILEM), University of Health Sdences (UHS), In collaboration with Disaster Relief by Irish and Pakistanis (DRIP), has secured an excellent opportunity of 2 to 3 years’ training in Ireland for medical doctors enrolled in Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) programmes at the teaching hospitals recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.

ELIGIBILITY

Pakistani/AJK nationals enrolled in MS/MD programmes recognized by PM&DC only.
Mbbs
Minimum 3 years post House lob experience in relevant spedalty in a teaching hospital recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
Selected candidates will be required to clear IELTS with an aggregate 73 and minimum 70 in each module.
Candidates who are availing any other HEC/Government scholarships are not eligible to apply.

APPLICATION AND SELECTION

Application on prescribed form along with attested copies of degrees/certificates, experience certificates, CHIC, Passport and three recent passport size colour photographs must reach the institute of Teaming Emergency Medicine (ILEM) by Tuesday 21,2015.The application forms can be downloaded from UHS website wvw.uhs.edu.pk
Applicants will have to submit bank draft of Its.1000/- as processing fee (nonrefundable), along with the application form, In favour of Treasurer, University of Health Science, Lahore.
The Admission Test will comprise one paper consisting of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) from basic and clinical sciences. Roll numbers will be issued on the spot.
Those who are in service must apply through proper channel.The residents will have to provide an HOC from the head of their respective Institutions that their training abroad will be accepted by their institution/university and they will be absorbed back by their Institution en their return.
The selection will be made purely on merit. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Interviews.
