The Importance of Science
Billions of years ago when the world was new to man, they had many questions and a lot of misconceptions in their mind. It was thought that earth was flat. As time passed they discovered many new things. First man used wood and vegetation as medicine, but as the world developed many tests and experiments were made, many new and small machines were created. More and more methods of simplifying the life of humans were adopted. All these methods were covered under the name “science”.
Science has led us to know several astonishing facts which man had never thought of before. As science developed, it became more interesting. It led us to a whole new world, which is the computerized age. Thus science made life easy everywhere.
In 17th century William Gilbert discovered the North, seeking behavior of the magnetic compass on the basis that earth itself is a bar of magnet.
The circumference of the earth was measured in 200 B.C by Greeks. The event that ignited the era of modern sciences was the publication of Nicholas Coperneu’s book “De Revolution Ibusorbim Colosti” (1543). This book of science announced that Sun was the centre of the system around which earth and other planets revolved.
If we see science from point of view of the new generation, it had provided luxury to mankind. If the scientific discoveries and methods wouldn’t be invented, we would still be living in the caves.
Thanks to science, now the human race can be cured of almost every disease. Man has stepped on mars. We have come to know hidden secrets of nature. In short world is progressing by the help of science.
Nothing has such power to broaden the mind as the ability to investigate systematically and truly all that comes under thy observation in life.
