Confidence is not a set of skills that can be learned but it is a state of mind. How you think about yourself, how easily you get nervous in any situation, how well do you handle a situation?
Not everyone is born with built in sense of self confidence. It is like a muscle that needs to be built-up. Sometimes it can be hard for a person because of personal experiences that might have caused to lose confidence or suffering from low self esteem.
How to build confidence?
Acknowledge what you have already achieved in life. Sometimes it is easy to focus on things you have not achieved than the things you have achieved. This way it becomes easy to lose confidence if you keep on focusing on the things you have not achieved.
Stay positive in your life. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Focus on your strengths. Recognizing what you are good at and trying to build on those things can be a really valuable way of building confidence in your own abilities.
