Google Play now lets you preregister for upcoming apps and games

Always want to know about a new upcoming app at Google Play? Now you can have it, as you can now preregister yourself for the upcoming apps and games so that you can download them the second they are available at the store, as you will be notified about it on your tablet or Android phone, according to a post at Android Police.
Terminator Genisys: Revolution is the first app to get this honor. It’s a game with no set release date or price quite yet. But all the other details are available on the landing page of the app including screenshots, a video and its description. The preregistration lets the game developer, Glu Mobile, advertise about the app before its actually ready, that its coming soon etc.
The good part of it is that the developers will be able to let the customers know when a new game or app is coming. Nowadays, when a new app is available on the Apple App Store, Android users start thinking about when will it be available for them, or will it ever be. So that is a plus point for all the developers to advertise their apps and get the customers preregister, so they can download it the minute it’s available on Google Store.
The negative point is, that there’s no release date or price for the upcoming app, so the customers won’t know if they’ll be able to buy it when its price is known, or how long will it take to arrive for downloading. Also, they cannot know if the app will be compatible on their devices or not, or if it’s available in their country or not until it goes live.
We hope Google lets developers add those details in the future.
