It takes a while to manufacture the LG G4’s leather back, according to LG. The leather used on the phone is high-quality and each backing is put through a 12 week manufacturing process. LG has released some details about the leather used on the phone and it explained how the back is made. When compared to competing smartphones, the backs for the LG G4 take around 10 times longer to manufacture.
The average smartphone back is put together in four days, but those backs are not using the type of leather LG has picked. LG only uses leather with a pore size of 0.001 micrometers.
G4 leather back cover takes a manufacturing process of a total of 12 weeks. Quality to make the final product from the supply of good leather back cover, competition among the core process takes time even more than 10 times the normal rear cover of the production period (4 days).
