The Department of Mathematics is one of the two departments under the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences of the Hajvery University.

Department of Computer Science was established in Hajvery University, in the year 2001, with the objective of imparting quality education in the field of Computer Science. With rapidly evolving technology and the continuous need for innovation the department has always produced quality professionals, holding important positions in Information Technology industry in Pakistan and abroad.
The department started the two years Master of Computer Science programme in the year 2001 with the aim to develop core competence in Computer Science and prepare the students to carry out development work, as well as take up challenges in research.
Besides these the department has strong research interests in diverse branches of Computer Science and offers the MS/MPhil leading to PhD programme aimed at producing quality researchers.
The faculty members of the department are highly qualified with international academic experience, and all of who are committed to advance the Computer Science and Information Technology through instruction and research. The members of the department are also involved in scholarly activities with the aim of extending the frontier of scientific knowledge that benefits the Country and humanity as a whole. Their research results have been disseminated internationally through publication and international and regional conferences. Moreover, some of their research has been supported by national and institutional grants.
The department continues to serve the Pakistan community in various capacities including community outreach programs, professional development activities, and collaborative partnerships with various sectors of the national and international community.

Requirements
For admission into the PhD minimum CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0 in the Semester System) or First Division (in the Annual System) in M.Phil./M.S/Equivalent degree is required.
