Course Name: M.Sc. Space Science
Course Overview: The M.Sc. program was started in the Department of Space Science, the University of the Punjab, Lahore, with the collaboration of Space and Upper Atmospheric Research Commission (SUPARCO) in 1990. Since no other University in Pakistan is offering a master’s degree in the subject of Space Science, the University of the Punjab, Lahore has the credit of constituting this program. Major courses pertinent to Space Science including Remote Sensing and Space Applications, Telecommunication and Satellite Communication, Environmental Sciences, Astronomy and Astrophysics, and Meteorology. The objective was to prepare trained manpower in the aforementioned fields of study making them capable of serving the nation in different related application fields. The Department of Space Science has Astronomy, Remote Sensing, Meteorology, Electronics and Radiation Physics Laboratories for imparting practical knowledge to the students and conducting research work.
