Course Name: MA Special Education
Overview:
The degree in MA Special Education has been launched at UMT to prepare teachers to provide most appropriate learning environment to the children with special needs. The curriculum and instructional methodology has been benchmarked to the international standards. The participants will be able to pursue higher studies anywhere in the world after completing this program. The program is in conformity to the International Movement for Inclusive Education and The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). It enables students to understand general principles and practices in the education of students with special needs and acquire specialist knowledge and skills in one area of specialization. The areas of specialization offered include hearing impairment, intellectual impairment and visual impairment. The program is a blend of theory and practice. The option of internship is available for those who intend to join teaching as a profession.

Graduation from an HEC recognized University with minimum 45% marks.
