BSc. Petroleum & Gas Engineering-UET Lahore
Course overview: The department offers a bachelor degree programme in Petroleum Engineering. The curriculum includes the courses in Production Engineering, artificial lift methods, reservoir studies, fluid properties, enhanced oil recovery techniques, well testing, well logging, natural gas transmission, and distribution, rock properties, corrosion control in petroleum industry, petroleum economics, storage problems and many other related subjects. In addition o these strong supports of basic sciences courses at different levels are also offered. Actual field data and related problems are included in the courses to develop field oriented approach to the students. The spread of the course contents is broad enough to groom the graduates for any major area of the petroleum and gas engineering profession. Students are provided opportunities to visit oil and gas fields, transmission and storage stations, and refineries, to familiarize them with the tasks and operations they have to undertake in their professional career.

Requirements:
General Eligibility Requirements for B.Sc (Hons) or B.Sc. Engineering Degree programs:
An applicant for admission to BSc. Petroleum & Gas Engineering (Hons.) must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:-

He should have obtained at least 60% marks in F.Sc. / ICS/ DAE/ B.Sc. / B.Tech. (Pass) Examination (excluding Sports and Hafiz-e-Quran marks)

He should have appeared in the entry test arranged by this University for that particular Academic Session in which he seeks admission.

He should have at least 60% adjusted admission marks determined as per clause 3 of the prospectus.

He should be a bona fide resident of the area from where he seeks admission
-
He should meet standards of physique and eye sight laid down in the medical certificate.

He should have passed the Intermediate from a Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education of Pakistan or an equivalent examination recognized by the University.

As soon as the process of selection is complete, the merit list will be notified showing the percentage aggregate marks of the applicants admitted in different disciplines against different categories.

EQUIVALENT EXAMINATIONS
The University recognizes the following examinations as equivalent to the Intermediate (Pre-Engineering) examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry of the Pakistani Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education:

Intermediate (Pre-Engineering) Examination of the Board of Intermediate &Secondary Education, Azad Kashmir.

Cambridge Overseas Higher School Certificate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

British General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
-
F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) with Mathematics as an additional subject.

American High School Graduation Diploma (12th Grade) or equivalent.

Equivalence of Certificates Up to Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC)I Intermediate Level
The determination of equivalence and issuance of equivalent marks certificate up to HSSC level for certificates other than those issued by Pakistan’s Boards is the jurisdiction of the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) as per decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Such applicants are required to attach an equivalence certificate showing marks with the application for admission issued by the IBCC. The following are the addresses of the IBCC offices:
