Course overview:

The objectives of ‘Bachelor of Fine Arts, course are to enable the students to:

• Know and use creative skills in their professional life for the teaching of Fine Arts
  
• Develop sense of critical appreciation and acquire knowledge of artistic techniques
  
• Communicate creative ideas practically to students at school level
  
• Develop their sense of personal and cultural identity through the medium of Fine Arts
  
• Focus on developing their abilities to communicate individual’s idea to society through the Fine Arts.
  
• Know Art history
  
• Know and understand skills of Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Basic Design, and Printmaking, etc…
  
• Equip them with the modern trends in Fine Arts
  
• Make them reflective practioners in the field of ‘Fine Arts’
  
• Transfer knowledge and skills related to ‘Fine Arts’ to posterity effectively
  

  Requirements:
  

  Entry Requirements
  

  The students having passed FA/ FSc (HSSC) in second division are eligible to apply.
  

  Age Limit
  

• For a candidate seeking admission to a Bachelor or equivalent programme on the basis of HSSC/FA/FSc, the age limit shall be 22 years.
  
• In real hardship cases, the Vice Chancellor may grant relaxation for five years in age on the recommendation of Head of the concerned institution.
  
• No age limit for admission in the evening classes.
  

  Merit Calculation
  

  1/2 of the marks obtained in SSC/Matriculation (out of 850) + total marks obtained in HSSC/FA/FSc (out of 1100) minus year wise deduction after HSSC/FA/FSc examination (5 marks per year) = Total
