Dyscalculia is a brain-based condition that makes it difficult for a child to make sense of concepts of numbers and math.  Children with dyscalculia can’t grasp basic number concepts. They have to work hard to memorize and learn basic number facts. They know what to do in math class but don’t understand why they’re doing it. Actually they miss the logic behind it. Some kids understand the logic behind the math but they aren’t sure how and when to apply their knowledge in solving problems. Parents should connect with other parents of kids with dyscalculia.
