According to foreign media reports, Microsoft announced that it would not release the Windows 10X operating system. On the contrary, Microsoft will integrate Windows 10X into the Windows system and other products.
John Cable, head of the Windows Services and Delivery Department, confirmed: "We did not launch a Windows 10X product in 2021 as originally planned. Instead, we used our experience so far to accelerate the key'S basic 10X technology is integrated into the company's other Windows components and products."
It is reported that the company has begun to add some of these features to the internal preview version of Windows, such as the new application container technology in Microsoft Defender Application Protection, enhanced voice, and typing experience, and modern touch with optimized button size, sound, color and animation keyboard. Microsoft said that in the future, it would "continue to apply 10X technology to areas that are beneficial to both software and hardware."
Windows 10X is a lite version of Windows 10 specially designed for dual-screen devices (Surface Neo). Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that it would switch to single-screen laptops. It was even shown in January.
