University of Engineering and Technology exhibition on horticulture

Environmental and Horticulture Society of University of Engineering and Technology (UET) arranged an exhibition on the varsity campus on Friday.

UET Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid inaugurated the exhibition, which was held with an aim to create awareness among the youth to feel close to the nature. A number of institutions from all across the country participated in the exhibition.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rahat Naveed, former faculty of Fine Arts from Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), lauded the interest of the engineering students in fine arts.

At the end cash prizes, amounting to Rs.60,000, were given to students in three categories including painting, sketching and photography.
