Swat’s Waleed Khan attains record breaking SAT Score in USA

December 31, 2015

Seventeen years old Waleed Khan, welcoming from Swat has accomplished a huge feat of acquiring the perfect score in his Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).  The brilliant Pakistani student has broken the 150 year old record by obtaining the 2400 marks in the SAT test.

Waleed Khan recorded 100 % marks in the SAT test and dedicated this success in the honor of all those who embraced martyrdom in the supremacy of militancy in Swat. Furthermore, he unveiled his secret to success as a practice!

While conversing to media he said that “It is only a practice. You begin to watch out the patterns, the little intellectual tricks. You get faster”.

The surprising thing is that Khan cramped all his study time between Mock Trial practice, Key Club community service projects, offering at a local hospital, speech and debate meets, Project Hope fundraising to construct a school in Africa, PHAST anti-tobacco projects, cross country as well as the track runs.

The student at California Modesto High School, Waleed Khan is the proud son of a well-known Californian cardiologist, Dr. Gohar Raza who graduated from the Aga Khan University located in Karachi. Mother of Waleed Khan is an internal medicine physician. The young champion also hopes to become a doctor just like his father. This Swat family shifted to California (USA) in year 1996.

The Winner of Nobel Prize, Malala Yousafzai wholeheartedly praised Waleed Khan on achieving this target. As per social media, Malala showered the words of gratitude over the attainment of the youngster from Swat.  She also said that this success has made the people of Swat so proud.

She added that “If you have dreams, which you struggle to attain, the obstacles blocking your way appeared enough smaller in front of you”. She said that “his success is an inspiration for the whole nation.”

It is appropriate to know that SAT is a general test paper which is compulsory for every Pakistani student who aims to apply for higher education in the United States of America.
