Scholarships of Worth Rs. 20 Million for Minority Students – Punjab Govt

The government of the Punjab has taken an initiative for need-based scholarship scheme for the eligible students from minorities living throughout the province in diverse programs of education.
The certified authorities said that Punjab department for Minorities Affairs as well as Human Rights Punjab has revealed this scheme along with the commencing amount of Rs. 20 million. Under this scheme, the sectional students getting education in government institutions from matric to post-graduate level, encompassing the professional degrees of medical and engineering would be qualified to apply for this scholarship.
Punjab Minister for Minorities Affairs and Human Rights, Punjab - Khalil Tahir Sindhu said that the aspirants in 36 districts of the province can get the funding under this scheme in their particular educational class from Rs. 15,000/- to 50,000/-. The female and male candidates of PhD, Pharm-D, DVM, MBBS, BDS and BSc Engineering can get the award of Rs. 50,000 yearly whereas post graduate level candidates encompassing MPhil will be capable to get Rs. 35,000/- yearly.
Similarly, the scholarship grant for the matric candidates is Rs. 15000/- whereas for the intermediate level students will be settled with Rs. 20,000/- while the graduation candidates will get Rs. 30,000/-.The Minority Affairs department has sought applications from the applicants plus the last date of submission is 31st December 2015.
