Application can be processed online or downloaded from NUST website, w.e.f. 04 May 2015.
Last date for submission of Application is 01 June 2015.
Classes will commence from 07 Sep 2015.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT/ELIGIBILITY:

For admission into the PhD minimum CGPA 3.0/4.0, 3.75/5.0 (in the Semester System) or First Division (in the Annual System) in MPhil/M.S/Equivalent (coursework plus research work based) degree is. Required. Percentage will be valid only if the CGPA is not mentioned in degree/transcript.
For Basic Medical Sciences: MBBS plus MPhil, or MBBS plus FOPS (Basic Medical Sciences/Clinical Subjects).
Bachelor to MS/MPhil degrees duly verified from HEC.

SUBJECT TEST:

GRE Subject International (score 60 percentile) or GAT Subject by NTS (score k 60 %) or local GRE subject type test (Score 70 %) conducted by NUST (as applicable).

COURSE/RESEARCH WORK: Those admitted shall have to complete/pass 18 Credit Hours coursework in addition to deficient courses (if any), 30 Credit Hours of Research work and other requirements as per University rules.

HOW TO APPLY:

An applicant seeking admission to PhD programme shall apply on the prescribed Admission Form available for download at NUST website www.nust.edu.pk link “Downloads” sub link “For MS/M Phil/ PhD Students” or on Online admission form.
Two x copies of each academic record other documents required (duly attested) alongwith 2x copies of Admission Forms to be forwarded to Post Graduate Programme Date (PhD Section), Main Office NUST H-12 Islamabad.
Incomplete and late applications will not be entertained.

Note:

All applicants who have completed their MS in all respect and cleared GRE/GAT (subject) test are only eligible to apply for admission in Fall 2015

Foreign qualified candidates to provide recognition and equivalence certificate from HEC.
